HUMANE SOCIETY OF HURON VALLEY
PROJECT SUMMARY
After carving out a niche in the nonprofit sector through the redesign of the Austin Pets Alive! website, Masonry was approached by The Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) for a similar refresh. The existing site was packed with content, hidden pages, and a confusing information architecture that made it difficult for users to find what they needed.
The goal was to create a cleaner, more welcoming experience that made navigation intuitive while bringing greater visibility to HSHV’s veterinary clinic and key services. Another priority was introducing a “mega menu” navigation system to better organize the site's extensive content and surface important resources that had previously been buried. The solution was a flexible, rounded, module-based design that built on HSHV’s existing brand guidelines. Rather than reinventing the brand, we refined it, with softer typography, custom illustrations, and thoughtfully refined color palettes introduced warmth and personality without straying from the established identity.
